New York Phalloplasty

New York Phalloplasty is operated by a Board Certified Urologist, Dr. E. Douglas Whitehead. Dr. Whitehead is also co-founder and president of the American Academy of Phalloplasty Surgeons, an organization established in 1995 in an attempt to regulate doctors who perform penis enlargement surgery. In addition to numerous positions and qualifications that would fill a web page here alone, he is also currently associate clinical professor of urology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.

Pioneer of the use of Alloderm grafts as a method of girth enlargement, and one of the few surgeons to perform Glanular (penis head) enhancement, Dr. Whitehead personally performs every surgical penis enlargement procedure performed at the New York Phalloplasty clinic.

As with the Barron Centers, Dr. Whitehead now exclusively uses Alloderm in his girth enhancement procedures, noting the shorter time necessary to perform the procedure (therefore, reducing the risks associated with general anaesthetics), quicker recovery time and lower risk of infection, when compared to the use of dermal fat grafts taken directly from the patient.

Penis enlargement procedures performed by Dr. Whitehead inclusively cost the following:

Penis lengthening performed at New York University Downtown Hospital: $4900
Penis lengthening performed at an ambulatory surgical facility: $ $3,985 – $4,270

Girth enlargement using Alloderm, performed at New York University Downtown Hospital: $8,500
Girth enlargement using Alloderm, performed at an ambulatory surgical facility: $8,300

Penis lengthening and girth enlargement performed together at New York University Downtown Hospital: $10,360
Penis lengthening and girth enlargement performed together at an ambulatory surgical facility: $9,000

The slightly higher fees of procedures performed at the New York University Downtown Hospital are due to the inclusion of preoperative medical testing of patients, as well as medical clearance.

Of all the commercial penis enlargement surgery websites we’ve seen, New York Phalloplasty’s is one of the most informative. There’s clear information concerning typical gains, both when flaccid and erect, and a comprehensive before and after photo gallery of Dr. Whitehead’s work. The site makes clear that flaccid gains (particularly in girth) do not equate to similar gains in erect penis size, and also openly discusses the potential complications and risks of surgery – which makes a refreshing change. If you’re considering penis enlargement surgery, the site is well worth taking the time to read. It may not be totally objective, but it’s one of the least commercially biased we’ve come across.
